Busier Than A...(updated with pictures)

So many things going on in the Basso Family! There will be updates to this post in the way of pictures, but we'll fill you in on the many happenings this month.

We recently returned from a family vacation in Brown County. For those of you who aren't aware, Brown County is a special destination for Anthony and I. We had our first date there, he met my grandparents for the first time there, and we also honeymooned in the area. So taking Bella to Nashville was a huge deal for us. My grandmother and parents accompanied us for the four days we were there.

Jumping on the bed!

We spent some time in the state park (not as much as everyone would have liked, of course). Bella had her first pony ride as well! Papaw and I led "Lightning" around an oval track while she rode like a pro. We had a picnic near the old school house and field (by the firetower). Bella didn't eat much, as she was busy teaching and putting Anthony and Papaw in timeout. We were also able to fly her Hello Kitty kite and kick the soccer ball around a little bit.

Mornings were usually spent in Nashville, checking out the many antique shops and artisans. We ate like fools and bought way too much fudge!

Last Saturday, we attended the Italian Street Festival with Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Brooke. The food was delicious as always and the weather was perfect.

This week, Anthony brought Bella to visit me at work. Bella was showered with hugs and kisses, especially from Kelli and Mrs. Kirby (who said the following morning that if Bella ever came up missing, we should check her [Mrs. Kirby's] pockets!). Tiffany, a colleague in my office, came in and helped Bella color some pictures. When Tiffany stepped out of my office to answer her phone, Bella looked up and said, "Where my sister go?" I guess we are a family of four now.

Last night, we went to an Indians baseball game with Jeremy, Brooke, and Uncle Charlie. This was Bella's first game and she had a BLAST! She was almost picked to start the game with "Play Ball!" on the Jumbotron, but we couldn't get her to take her eyes off Rowdie the mascot long enough. Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Brooke bought her an adorable Indians hat, and Uncle Charlie got a baseball with Rowdie's signature to commemorate the event. She also received a small Rowdie plush, which she slept with last night. I think she ate about three pounds of cotton candy (notice the pink on her lips!) and danced all of those empty calories off in between innings.

Aunt Brooke took these fantastic pictures at the Italian festival and the game last night. Thank you!!!!
