This was at the Rube Goldberg machine outside the Scienceworks exhibit. Bella loved watching the billiard balls drop and bang into the windchimes.
Within the Scienceworks exhibit is an interactive "river" for kids. You can control the canal system and help the boats move along. Bella liked splashing Momma the best, though.
Here are Papa and Bella waiting for the carousel. The Children's Museum has a real working carousel (designed in 1917) with many of the original animals. Anthony and I remember riding it when we weren't much older than Bella!
Here we are on the carousel. She loved it, especially when we would get to the crowd side. She made sure she was wearing a big grin for her audience. And of course, she clapped for the carousel operator when she was finished.
Since Bella will be growing up in the Racing Capital of the World, it only made sense to get an early start on her photo opportunities.
And here she is, emerging from her car after her victory lap.
This is the slide from the treehouse in the Playscape exhibit. This one was a lot of fun; lots of blocks and things to build and climb. She had to try the slide out several times.

The Children's Museum now holds several beautiful exhibits from artist Dale Chihuly. This one is titled Fireworks in Glass. It stands 43 feet tall and weighs over 9 tons. It is absolutely breathtaking in person.

There is also a Fiori dei Bambini exhibit by Chihuly. It's basically a flower garden for children, but made with glass. Again, pictures do not do the exhibit justice.
If you haven't gone to the museum yet, GO! It's a great institution in Indianapolis. Two thumbs up from the Basso Family!

Hey, I think that Chihuly guy had an exhibit in StL as well! There are still some of his works at the MO Botanical Gardens (permanently, I would guess) and they are AMAZING!!!
