Some Father's Day Pics and Notes

We celebrated Anthony's second Father's Day this year. What a wonderful Papa! He received his present a bit early (like May), but he really wanted/needed a new trimmer for the yard. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner with the Basso clan, including Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Brooke. Everyone had a nice time. Bella wolfed down almost an entire bowl of fettucine alfredo and a few breadsticks. We finally found an Italian dish she likes!

We try to visit the library about once a week. Bella really enjoys the new selections of books. In fact, check out our new sidebar for Bella's Library Picks! However, today, we returned with about 8 new books for the 'boo. The titles were as varied as Silly Sally to several Eric Carle selections. However, as you will note in the picture below, Bella has decided to upgrade her selections. She would not put down Momma's book and insisted on helping her read it! In case you can't see the cover, the book is Bush at War, by Bob Woodward. We literally couldn't get her to leave it alone. Must have been all the pictures of Dubya and Condi.
One last note: Bella has added a new tug-at-your-heartstrings manuever to her arsenal. When we have to tell her "no", she will now look up at us and ever so slowly bat her eyes. Makes saying "no" that much harder. I think we're in over our heads!
