Busy Little Bees

We've been busy! Here's a quick peek...

On Friday, we traveled to Greenwood to visit United Art & Education. If any of our faithful readers are office supply freaks or have harbored a secret desire to decorate bulletin boards, UA&E is a Mecca! We could have spent the entire day in this paradise, but our objective was to purchase some fun bulletin board kits and classroom supplies for Bella. While she is at home with Anthony this summer, they are going to work on colors, shapes, numbers, and the alphabet. We've transformed part of our basement office into a playroom and classroom for her. She can already identify circles and clocks! After visiting UA&E, we made a quick stop to see Grandpa Tony at his shop and then it was back home to start decorating!

On Saturday, we made a last-minute decision to visit the Italian Street Festival. We had not originally planned to attend, as we were concerned about the heat and crowds being a little too overwhelming for WeeBit, but we braved it. Aside from a little sunscreen-in-the-eyes mishap, we had lots of fun. Bella experience her first fettuccine and Italian ice (LOVED both) and had a few bites of Momma's breadsticks. Her favorite part was dancing in her stroller to the rockin' band playing in the background.

Sunday was also a busy day. We traveled north to Grandpa and Granny-Great's house for a cookout. Everyone was there, including Great Aunt Faye and Great Uncle Larry. Bella had an absolute blast playing with everyone and running around in the backyard. She also liked the bites of brownie that everyone was sneaking to her after dinner. She was so tuckered out that she fell asleep before we made it out of the neighborhood and didn't wake up until we pulled into the garage.

This week she is at home with her Papa, except for Wednesday and Thursday, when she visits Miss Michelle at the Little Raiders daycare. Anthony has the opportunity to help his former department chair (and one of Bella's godfathers!) Chad paint some houses, so he's going to don some coveralls while Bella gets her Michelle-fix for the month!
