Long Time No Read

Members of the Basso family have busy bees in the last few weeks. Let's catch up, shall we?

Bella, of course, is now cuter than ever before. She has started reaching out with her chubby little arms whenever she wants to be cuddled. It's the human equivalent of puppy-dog eyes. For further demonstration of this development, be sure to read about Bella's first day at daycare below.

Momma and Papa have both been getting ready for the start of another school year. Papa's room is tres chic (or at least really cool), having been decorated and furnished with NEW desks. Momma has finished decorating her freshly painted office with pics of her favorite bellarina (and has received MANY compliments on her).

Going back to school means...daycare. Gulp. Needless to say, Momma and Papa were quite apprehensive about this whole process. This story has an extremely happy ending, however.

Thanks to Diane (and Joe) Pfenning, who are part of our extended CRHS family, Bella is well-loved during the hours she is away from Momma and Papa. The Pfennings are truly a godsend and we cannot tell you how happy we are to have Bella in their home. So here is the cute story promised above:

Naturally, Papa has grown quite attached to his Sugarplum and has been having some difficulty at the thought of being away from her during the school day. The daycare situation has been eating at him to say the least. He accompanied Momma and Bella to Diane's house on the first day. Diane was holding Bella as she walked everyone through the house again, so when Momma and Papa get ready to leave, Papa takes Bella back for some goodbye hugs and kisses. Bella responds to this display of affection by leaning back, grinning up at Papa, and reaching out for Diane with her arms. That was Papa's sign that everything is going to be wonderful.
