Cereal Eater

Bellarina has entered a new phase in life. She is now a card-carrying cereal eater. One might think that our bambino might some kind of high-falutin' girl, with a propensity toward "paragraph food" (cereal with bananas, whole-grain wheat cereal, cereal with peaches, etc.) But no, our little Sugarplum likes the down-home taste of plain rice cereal.

And why shouldn't she? It looks like the stuff you dip newspaper in before you papier-mache it. It smells like wet cardboard. It also has a tendency to go up your nose if you lean too far forward with your head while being fed.

Bella loves the stuff, though. She eats it a little before bedtime, and consequently has been sleeping in her crib for longer periods at night. She still gets up around 1 or 2 in the morning for a wee snack, but then is out like a light again until 6:30 or so.

So, we highly recommend picking up a box of Rice Cereal if you have the means. (Not)

Our first cereal attempt:

I couldn't resist adding this picture. Don't you just want to eat her up?????
